How dare Amazon charge such a price for this item – this is daylight robbery, please buy your wheel for less than £10 somewhere else.
Have recently found that the game controls are actually just as good with the Wii Mote and Nunchuk.

If you are the ‘main’ player of Mario Kart, you’ll have realised by now that the most satisfactory way to play it is using nunchuck, classic, Gamecube controllers. If you are playing multiplayer with people who are not used to using normal game controllers, let them use the wheel that came in the box. It won’t be long before they ask to learn how to play by the joystick method, because the game doesn’t play that well with the wheel!
It’s a bit pricey n’all!

The actual wii wheel is indeed the only wheel accessory worth getting. but i got it for 6.99 from another company and the SRP was £9.99.
get this wheel but shop around

Update to my review:
My star rating was for the price alone – which was ridiculously high on Amazon. Now the price has dropped to under seven pounds, I am correcting this review (although I cannot change the star rating).
This is an excellent wheel, and better than all the 3rd party versions out there. The long-term fun of Mario Kart is competing against friends and family – you can do this without a second wheel, but it’s not really ‘fair’ on the one who gets only a Wii-mote on its own.
If you have Mario Kart and a second Wii-mote, get a second wheel for it – it’s a no-brainer at this price
